Current Workshops and Courses

I - by myself and with other trainers - run a range of workshops and courses, usually based in Newcastle upon Tyne, for therapists and counsellors, and others interested.

The focus is on gaining skills and personal development, and although I have a person centred orientation, people from all orientations are welcome and attend.

Certificates of attendance are issued for BACP and UKCP CPD purposes.

Working in Action from a Person-Centred Base

Working in Action from a Person-Centred Base CPD One-Day Workshop

Saturday 25 February 2017.
Newcastle upon Tyne.

Many counsellors and therapists find that they have less time allocated for their clients, particularly if they are working for large organisations. Action work is often an exciting and effective way to get to the heart of a problem quickly. It can also be fun, and often avoids the stuck or repetitive place that we can all get into.

Staying Positive and Creative as Our World of Therapy Continues to Change

Staying Positive and Creative as Our World of Therapy Continues to Change CPD One-Day Workshop

Saturday 22 April 2017.
Beadnell.

This is an exclusive workshop for people who have been - or currently are – my supervisees. It is taking place at Beadnell - most of you will know how much I enjoy staying there, and the venue directly overlooks the sea, with steps down onto the beach.

This is an opportunity to meet with other therapists and supervisors and together to explore some creative ways to still work effectively within the new requirements and limits on our practice. I see this as an opportunity for us to share our experiences, support each other, and find some ways to stay positive and authentic within the new boundaries.

This is the same workshop as April 2017, but this is in the summer, and it is open to everyone who is interested.

This is an opportunity to meet with other therapists and supervisors and together to explore some creative ways to still work effectively within the new requirements and limits on our practice. I see this as an opportunity for us to share our experiences, support each other, and find some ways to stay positive and authentic within the new boundaries.

This open workshop is taking place at Beadnell - many of you will know how much I enjoy staying there - and the venue directly overlooks the sea, with steps down onto the beach.

Advanced Supervision Skills:
Getting the Most from this Unique Relationship

Advanced Supervision Skills Workshop. © Jenny Biancardi

One-Day Workshop. Saturday 5 September 2015.
Newcastle upon Tyne

This one-day workshop gives anyone involved in supervision a chance: to refresh existing skills; develop new skills; and to rekindle your passion for this unique relationship. Super-vision is a transforming process for both supervisor and supervisee.

A variety of creative ways of working will be explored and you will get a chance to get feedback. We will also review some of the latest discussions around the responsibility the supervisor holds, and we will look at the importance of creating a safe and containing space, which allows the supervisee to be fully open and reflective on their work with their clients.

The day is run by Jenny Biancardi.
