Many counsellors and therapists find that they have less time allocated for their clients, particularly if they are working for large organisations. Action work is often an exciting and effective way to get to the heart of a problem quickly. It can also be fun, and often avoids the stuck or repetitive place that we can all get into.
This workshop will not turn you into a psychodramatist, however it will give you some really useful skills in a safe and client-centred way. We will also look at the skill of moving into action, and recognising which clients may most benefit from this approach.
A small piece of action within a session can provide a lot of insight and free up the work, also producing energy that can be empowering.
Those attending this workshop will be asked to bring along a small object that has personal significance.
Tea, coffee, snacks and home-made lunch (vege soup, bread, cheese, cakes, cheese scones, etc) will be provided.
